Breitling Exospace B55 – The Pilot Smartwatch

Wearable tech has been a buzzword for a while now in the tech industry. The biggest players have been various sports and activity monitors and then of course the Apple Watch and a few similars.

Swiss luxury watchmaker, Breitling, introduced their first step into the smartwatch market recently. There is no compromise with heritage, style or design as expected.

The Breitling Exospace B55 Connected looks like a ‘normal’ watch but under the hood there is a Bluetooth LE that connects to a smartphone via app that lets you add functions such as setting a second timezone, alarms and reminder vibrations. The LED part of the display is turned on when you tilt the watch can show alerts when there is an incoming call, test or social media message.

As many of Breitlings products the main focus group is pilots. A lot of the smart features has to do with flight logs and remaining fuel in your plane. (ok it not true about the fuel).

There is no cable connection to it and it is charged via magnetic connector.

Price is estimated around 80.000 SEK and it available now.
